Questions?

  • Our intention is to create a safe space that both kids and parents find inspiring, fun and nurturing in equal measure. We are on an evolving mission to craft experiences that give us the perfect balance of alone time, couple time, friend time and kid time. We want everyone of all ages to walk away feeling a little more open than when they arrived. We want to build deep community between families. We want to share The Thyme’s breathtaking nature and soulful programming with people we care about (and that means you). Let’s make it work — it’s either this or Club Med!

  • Check the location page for information about The Thyme.

The schedule will be flexible. Each night, we will post the following day’s activities on the chalkboard in the dining room. With the exception of a few programming experiences, we will try to be fluid.

Meal times may vary by an hour, as we want to flow with the weekend and be flexible so people can maximize their time playing with kids, doing activities, etc. So while they may vary each eay, we aim for:

    • Breakfast: 7:30-9:30am

    • Lunch: 12-2pm

    • Dinner: 7pm (we may begin earlier depending on how hungry the kids are. Or, kids first, adults later

  • You can put questions and requests in the group WhatsApp feed and we will try to respond quickly.

If you want to speak directly to someone, whatsapp or call me at +1-646-388-0954.

  • Firstly, adults can participate in any kid activity, and we hope to all find time to bond with the little ones throughout the weekend. The costume party is for everyone, inspired by the fact that our kids have better Burning Man costumes than we do. While the parties will be slightly different, it will be fun to have everyone styling to the same theme!

  • Yes of course.

  • Yes of course.

  • You can let people know in the whatsapp feed that you are looking for a ride. There is a Metro-North train that goes from NYC to Wassaic on the Harlem River Line. Check the MTA website for details.

If you take the train, let us know and we will have someone pick you up from the station, which is about 25 minutes drive.

  • Imagine a spectrum with Burning Man on the left side and an Italian-made 31.75m boat from the Monaco Yacht Club on the right. Curiouser will be equidistant between center and far left. We will call this “Sensible Self Reliance.”

The Thyme is a retreat center that is in pre-opening phase. It is not a fully operational hotel. We aimed to keep costs as low as possible for our Curiouser gathering. There are no actual concierges available

The rooms won’t be turned over daily. The linens and towels are yours throughout the weekend. Please hang your towels to dry them — but should you need more for any reason, contact us in the feed.

Please don’t hesitate to ask for whatever you need, just note that sometimes it might just be faster to do it yourself.

Make yourselves at home! Take what you need! Let’s work together!

  • Love it! Co-creation is where the magic is. Contact Steve and we’ll make it happen!

  • The wifi network is The Thyme Guest.

  • Our nanny team is led by Jenny, along with Giovanna and Ana. They will be overseeing the kids during their activity blocks throughout the day, which generally occur between 9a - 8p. The nanny to kid ratio will be about 1:7. Their role is to make sure all the kids are safe, and to alert the parents if any child needs them. They are not a substitute for 1:1 childcare if your little one needs it.

  • If you feel at any point that you would like a nanny to specifically watch your kids, we can arrange that. You can deal directly with the nanny on pricing and schedule.

Our 3 group nannies have indicated they would be available to watch individual children (or siblings) after 8pm if you need it. You would deal directly with them on hourly fees. the lodging is more like a hotel than a house, so some of you might want to consider this, especially we go for night walks or have a late party on the other side of the lodge.

  • The goal of this weekend is to connect with our kids and selves, be present, experience a thing or two that stays with us after we leave, expand our minds and have fun. We will have a dance party on Saturday night, but it is not our intention to make it an all nighter. We would like people to leave feeling re-energized and happy, not shattered. We can define this organically.

  • James is organizing a quick ski trip on Monday, 1/20, at a nearby slope (Catamount or other). If you are interested in learning more, please whatsapp him directly at +1 (917) 362-3161.

  • Yes, each room has a fridge.

  • Yes! Finally. 1 per room.

  • This particular wine did not make it on the menu due to price point and availability.

Magic mezcal potion, on the other hand, is priceless — we will have some of that.

We will have nice wine, but if you want something with a 4.7 Vivino rating, feel free to bring it (hide it in a thermos so you don’t have to share).
